Two teenagers have been arrested following a large gorse fire in Pembrokeshire which threatened properties in a seaside village.

Some people in Solva were advised to leave their homes as fire crews tackled the blaze last week.

Dyfed-Powys Police said a male youth, 16, and woman, 19, were held on suspicion of arson, theft and criminal damage.

Both have been bailed and inquiries are ongoing regarding further suspects.

At its height more than 40 firefighters were at the scene on 7 June.

They pumped water from the sea to bring it under control.

Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service said at the time it could not rule out the fire had been started deliberately.
