Firefighters say a large car scrap yard fire that caused disruption near Swansea's Liberty Stadium has been extinguished.

Some properties were evacuated and Siloh Road and Neath Road shut to traffic.

A workshop and four vehicles, including a forklift truck, were destroyed in the blaze at Pic-Up Spares which started about 15:30 BST on Friday.

One person has been taken to Morriston Hospital with minor burns.

The Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service said it sent two crews to the scene.

South Wales Police said a nearby chip shop and a few houses were evacuated as a precaution.

Traffic was diverted via Swansea Enterprise Park.

Bus operator First Cymru said it had caused delays to services travelling between Swansea city centre and Morriston.
