Baglan death: Three remanded on murder of David John Eves

Three men charged with the murder of a man in Baglan, Port Talbot, have been remanded in custody.

The body of David John Eves, 43, from Sandfields, Port Talbot, was found at a property in Pentyla on Friday morning.

William Desmond Rogers, 45, of no fixed abode, Shaun William Rogers, 24, and Paul David Evans, 49, both of Port Talbot, are accused of his killing.

The three men will appear at a preliminary hearing at Swansea Crown Court on 21 February.

They appeared separately in the dock at Neath Magistrates Court to confirm their details and were dressed in casual clothing for the hearing.

A date of 16 February was set aside for any prospective bail application to be made.

South Wales Police have renewed their appeal for anyone with information contact them on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.

Det Ch Insp Dorian Lloyd, who is leading the murder investigation, said: "Although three men have been charged we are still urging anyone in the community with information to contact police.

"We are particularly keen to hear from anyone who saw or heard any suspicious activity in the Pentyla area of Baglan on Thursday night (9 February) through to the early hours of Friday morning (10 February)."
