Coasteering jumper injures leg at Mewslade Bay, Gower

A man who was coasteering on the Gower peninsula was airlifted to hospital after he injured his leg on a jump.

Swansea coastguards said the man hit a rock injuring a knee after leaping at Mewslade Bay and was pulled from the water by the group's instructor.

The 32-year-old man, from High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, was airlifted to Morriston Hospital in Swansea by the rescue helicopter from RAF Chivenor.

Coastguard teams from Rhossili and Mumbles to also called out.
