Workman buried in trench collapse in Letterston

Emergency services are trying to free a workman buried when a trench collapsed in Pembrokeshire.

The incident happened at the site of a new housing development in Letterston, near Fishguard.

Dyfed-Powys Police said emergency services were working on a "delicate operation to free the man".

It is understood foundations were being dug when the collapse happened at 10:10 BST on Tuesday.

Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service sent two fire crews from Haverfordwest and Fishguard.

Specialists from the fire service's urban search and rescue team from Earlswood near Briton Ferry are also at the site off Station Road, along with paramedics from the Welsh Ambulance Service.
