Body of man removed from River Neath at Briton Ferry

The body of a man has been removed from the River Neath at Briton Ferry, say South Wales Police.

The alarm was raised at 08:39 BST on Tuesday after the body was seen near Briton Ferry bridge.

South Wales Police, Swansea Coastguard and the RNLI all attended and the man was airlifted to Morriston Hospital by Sea King helicopter.

There are no suspicious circumstances and the coroner has been informed.
