Carmarthen murder: Family tributes to 'beautiful' Charmaine MacMuiris
The family of a woman found dead on Christmas Day at a house in Carmarthen say they are "heartbroken and devastated".
The body of mother-of-three Charmaine MacMuiris, 37, was discovered at about 10:50 GMT.
Her family added that their lives would never be the same again.
A 28-year-old man arrested at the scene is being questioned on suspicion of Ms MacMuiris's murder and Dyfed-Powys Police is appealing for witnesses.
"As a family we are heartbroken and devastated by the loss of our beautiful daughter. Our lives will never, ever be the same again," a statement read.
"Charmaine was taken from her children, grandchild and all her family in the most cruel of ways on Christmas Day.
"No family should ever have to face such a tragedy.
"We would like to thank family, friends, relations and neighbours for their support and kindness during this sad time.
"We would like our privacy to be respected while we grieve for Charmaine."
Family members are being supported by specially trained officers.
Tribute pages have also been set up on Facebook.
Gary Lowes, a neighbour, set up the page, and described the shock he felt at hearing the news.
"It's a tragedy," he said.
"She's left three beautiful children and a granddaughter, she was a fantastic mother.
"She never fell out with anybody, she was such a caring person."
In a statement on Thursday, police confirmed the name of the dead woman and that the man arrested in connection with her death was still being questioned.
They reiterated their appeal for anyone who may have information which could assist the inquiry to contact police in Carmarthen by dialling 101.
Officers are particularly keen to hear from anyone who was in the area between 17:00 GMT on Christmas Eve and 11:00 on Christmas Day.
