A465 Resolven crash: Lyn Morgan named as victim
The family of a man killed in a crash between a lorry and a van near Neath says he was their "rock" and gave them everything they ever wanted.
Lyn Morgan, 45, from Maesteg, was pronounced dead at the scene after his Citroen van was in collision with a lorry on the A465 at Resolven.
His front seat passenger suffered rib injuries on Thursday afternoon, while the lorry driver was also injured.
Both he and the lorry driver are at Swansea's Morriston Hospital.
South Wales Police said the incident happened at about 15:40 BST when the white articulated Renault lorry, travelling northbound, crossed the central reservation and hit the van in the carriageway opposite.
Mr Morgan was married to Sara and worked as a self-employed electrician.
In a statement his family said: "Lyn was a hard-working man who came from nothing to build up a beautiful life for his family.
"He was a family man and he always gave us everything we ever wanted. In his spare time he loved to go shooting and was into his DIY, he was always doing something.
"Lyn meant everything to his family, he was our rock. He supported us all in everything we ever wanted to do.
"He lived for his kids and to them he was perfect. Lyn will be missed by all his family, friends and everyone who knew him."
The road was closed for about eight hours while investigations were carried out and one lane of each carriageway remained shut on Friday morning as repair works took place.
Police want to speak to people who stopped to help at the scene or who saw either vehicle before the collision.
People can contact the South Wales Police serious collision investigation unit on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
