Coasteering man in Rhossili, Gower, airlifted to hospital

A man has been airlifted to hospital after suffering a suspected heart attack during an outdoor pursuits exercise.

The 50-year-old fell ill while taking part in coasteering in Rhossili, Gower, Swansea, on Saturday afternoon.

Swansea Coastguard said it received a distress call at around 14:00 BST.

A spokesman said: "A 50-year-old man who began experiencing cardiac problems was airlifted to Morriston Hospital, Swansea, by RAF Chivenor."

Details of the man's condition are not yet known.
