Neath crash biker Gareth Davies was 'devoted son'

The family of man who died after his motorcycle hit a parked vehicle have described him as "irreplaceable".

Steelworker Gareth Davies, 27, from Aberdulais, Neath Port Talbot, was riding in Cadoxton Terrace at about 02:00 BST on Friday.

In a statement his family said: "He was a devoted son to Andrew and Rhian and a special brother to Lisa and Stephen."

The family have asked people not to lay floral tributes at the scene.

They added: "He is irreplaceable and will be sadly missed by all his family and many friends.

"We would like to thank everyone for their kindness and support but ask please that no floral tributes are placed at the collision scene."

South Wales Police have urged anyone who saw the collision or who saw the motorbike being ridden before the collision to call them on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously 0800 555 111.
