Man rescued from sea by coastguard at South Beach, Tenby

A man had to be rescued by Milford Haven coastguard after getting into difficulty in the sea in Tenby.

The swimmer, 33, from Oldbury in the West Midlands, was unable to climb out of the water at South Beach when he fell ill at about 15:53 BST on Monday.

He was treated for low blood pressure and low body temperature and was taken to Withybush Hospital in Haverfordwest.

In a separate incident a woman was airlifted from the coastal path near Dale after injuring her ankle.

Dale, Broad Haven and Tenby coastguard teams attended the path at Wooltack Point at 14:12 BST, before the walker, 64, was flown to Withybush Hospital.
