Boy held after burgled OAP collapse in Swansea

A teenage boy has been arrested after a 93-year-old woman was found collapsed in her home in Swansea following a burglary.

The woman was found at the house in Killay at about 10:30 BST on Monday. She was taken to Morriston Hospital where she is said to be critically ill.

Officers arrested the boy early on Tuesday after it became clear the woman had been the victim of a burglary.

The 15-year-old is in custody at Swansea Central Police Station.

Det Insp Mark Kavanagh of Swansea CID said: "An investigation into the incident is ongoing and we are continuing to liaise with the victim's family at what is obviously a distressing time for them."
