Boy, 16, to face trial over Swansea burglary at OAP's home
A teenage boy will stand trial accused of burgling the home of a 90-year-old woman who died five days later.
The 16-year-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons, pleaded not guilty to a charge of burglary at Swansea Crown Court.
Jean Thyer suffered a stroke and died at Morriston Hospital after a break-in at her home in Killay, Swansea, on 28 September.
The teenager was granted conditional bail.
A two day trial is expected to be held in January.
Ian Wright, prosecuting, told the court that no further charges would arise from the death of Mrs Thyer.
