IPCC probe into man's death after arrest in Llanelli

An investigation has been launched following the death of a man who died after being arrested by police in Llanelli town centre.

The incident happened in Cowell Street on Sunday afternoon.

Dyfed-Powys Police has referred the matter to the Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC).

A spokesperson for the IPCC said it was investigating the circumstances surrounding the death and will look at CCTV footage.

The coroner and next of kin have been informed.
