An ongoing search for an 11-year-old Carmarthen schoolboy who fell into a river a week ago has concluded for the day and will resume on Wednesday.

Cameron Comey has not been seen since playing with his younger brother near the River Towy last Tuesday.

Search teams have worked every day to find the Queen Elizabeth High School pupil with searches called off each night.

"Our thoughts are with the family," said Dyfed-Powys Police spokesperson.

"The family continue to be kept informed and supported by specialist officers on what is a particularly difficult and painful day as it is now a week since Cameron was last seen playing near the river."

Special assemblies at Cameron's school have been held and a candlelit vigil.
