An otter rescued from a nickel refinery in Swansea Valley after it got trapped beneath a fast moving conveyor belt has been returned to the wild.

Ludwig - named after Vale Europe Ltd refinery's founder Ludwig Mond - was found at the Clydach site last month.

After being cornered by staff, he was taken to the RSPCA's specialist wildlife centre in Somerset for rehabilitation.

He was released near the outskirts of the refinery site on Thursday evening.
