Carmarthenshire residents fined over dog fouling and litter

Eighteen people have been fined for environmental breaches like dog fouling and dropping litter in Carmarthenshire.

The fixed penalty notices were issued by council environmental enforcement officers in July, figures have shown.

Four people were fined £200 each for abandoning their cars.

Two people had to pay £75 for dog fouling, a man was handed a £75 bill for fly-posting in Llanelli and three householders received £100 fines for putting the wrong waste in bins.

Others were given fixed penalty notices for things like dropping litter, including cigarettes and fast food packaging.
