Man arrested over Naomi Campbell's India bash noise
Police in India's Rajasthan state have charged a person with noise pollution during a birthday party thrown by supermodel Naomi Campbell for her boyfriend Valdimir Doronin.
The arrest was made after residents complained about the noise of the fireworks at the event held in the Umaid Bhawan Palace hotel on Wednesday.
There were many celebrities among the more than 200 guests at the party.
Campbell arranged the lavish events for Mr Doronin's 50th birthday.
"We have bailed out one event management person who has been found responsible for violation of the law," said Sugan Singh, a police Inspector in Jodhpur city.
The arrest comes after police fined over a dozen cars with tinted glasses used for ferrying guests and some people for smoking at the civil airport on Thursday according to the Press Trust of India.
Campbell had arranged the two-day celebrations in Rajasthan state for her Russian billionaire boyfriend Vladimir Doronin, who she has been dating since 2008.
Celebrities such as Mick Jagger, Kate Moss, Bob Geldof and the Duchess of York Sarah Ferguson, were among the guests flown in for the event.
American singer Diana Ross was also flown in to perform at the celebrations.
The festivities included fireworks, traditional music and dancing and an elaborate buffet meal.
