Word cloud: Indian PM's speech stresses economy, education

Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's Independence Day speech on Thursday highlighted his government's achievements in economy, education, poverty reduction and infrastructure development in the last decade.

"In no other decade has our economic development increased as much as in this decade," Mr Singh said.

Analysis of Mr Singh's speech shows that he was keen to deflect opposition parties' criticism of his policy on economy, foreign relations and security ahead of the general election due in May 2014.
