Four people, including a doctor, have been arrested over a deadly hospital fire in Bhubaneswar, India.

The fire swept through the dialysis and intensive care units of the private SUM hospital in Orissa (also called Odisha) state on Monday, killing 20 people.

It was believed to have been caused by an electrical fault.

Police said the hospital's medical superintendent, fire safety officer and two electrical division workers had been detained.

They have been charged with "homicide not amounting to murder" and negligence, police commissioner Yogesh Khurania told reporters.

He said further arrests were expected.
