First funeral after County Kerry crash

The first funeral of one of the teenagers killed in a car crash in County Kerry is due to take place later.

Four teenagers died in the crash on the Killarney to Mallow road on the N72 at Carrigeen on Wednesday morning. A 16-year-old boy who survived the crash is in a stable condition in hospital.

The funeral of 15-year-old Aine Riordan will take place in her home town of Castleisland on Friday.

She will be buried at Clogher cemetery.

The funerals of the other crash victims, David Breen, 17, his 15-year-old brother Kevin and Brian Coffey, 19, will take place on Saturday.

Youth groups in County Kerry have increased support services for teenagers who lost their friends in the accident, by making more counselling available.
