Irish police find items for 'explosive devices'

Irish police investigating the activities of dissident republicans have discovered items they said could be used to make explosive devices.

They were found during a search of a house in Barnstown in County Wexford on Friday.

A police spokesman said the search was carried out by members of the special detective unit.

A man has been arrested.
