Man due in court over Boyle, Roscommon, fire which killed girl

A man is due in court in connection with the investigation into a fatal fire at Boyle, Co Roscommon, earlier this month.

Five-year-old Mari Connolly died in the fire in the early hours of Monday 3 October.

Her father and her two sisters, aged six and eight, escaped after he jumped from an upstairs window with the girls in his arms.

A 33-year-old man is due to appear in court on Thursday.

A woman in her 50s remains in custody.
