Lethal cocktail of drugs thought to be cause of Cork deaths

Post-mortem examinations have been carried out on the bodies of two men who died from suspected drug overdoses at a house in Cork city on Christmas Day.

John Foley, 33, of Mayfield, Cork, and John O'Donoghue, 32, with an address at St Vincent's Hostel, Cork, had been attending a party at Rockgrove Terrace.

The men are believed to have taken a lethal cocktail of drugs.

The exact cause of their deaths will not be known for some time.

John Foley was pronounced dead at the house at lunchtime on Christmas day.

John O'Donoghue died on Monday morning in hospital after becoming ill at the house on Christmas night.

Irish police are working on tracing the other ten people at the house party.
