World War II grenade found in Galway garden

Around 30 houses were evacuated in Galway overnight after a World War II grenade was found in a garden.

The device, which was viable, was found at a property in Rahoon around 22:30 BST on Thursday.

It was made safe by Irish army bomb disposal experts around 01:30 BST on Friday.

Residents have been allowed to return to their homes.
