Donaghmede stabbing: wounded man dies in hospital

A man who was found with stab wounds on a road in Donaghmede, north County Dublin, has died in hospital.

Irish police said they received a 999 call shortly after 07:00 GMT on Monday, informing them that a man was lying injured on St Donagh's Road.

The victim, who was in his late 20s, was taken to Beaumont Hospital but died a short time later.

The state pathologist and police technical officers are due to examine the area where the man was found.

Police have appealed to anyone with information about the man's death to contact them.
