Man dies after single car crash in County Limerick

A 29-year-old man has died after a car crash in the Republic of Ireland.

Only one vehicle was involved in the collision which happened shortly before 04:00 GMT in Granagh, County Limerick.

The man, who was the sole occupant of the car, was taken to the Mid Western Regional Hospital in Limerick. He was later pronounced dead.

Irish police have appealed to anyone who may have been on the road between 03:30 GMT and 04:00 GMT to contact them.
