Two men have been found guilty of murdering a Brazilian man whose body was found in a bog in north Kerry.

John Paul Cawley, 20, and Wenio Rodriguez da Silva, 29, both of Ardoughter, Ballyduff, had both denied the charge.

Bruno Lemes De Sousa, 28, had been missing from his home in Gort, County Galway, since February.

His body was found in Shronowen bog near Ballylongford on 11 March 2012.

Mr Justice Garrett Sheehan handed down mandatory life sentences to both men after the jury at the Central Criminal Court, sitting in County Kerry, gave their verdict.
