Three arrested in Meath and Louth over dissident republican activity

Three men arrested in the Republic of Ireland are being questioned about dissident republican activity.

The arrests were made in counties Louth and Meath on Monday and Tuesday.

A 9mm handgun and a number of vehicles were seized during searches in Drogheda and Castlebellingham in County Louth and Navan in Meath.

The men being questioned are aged 49, 38 and 30. A woman who was also arrested has been released without charge.

The operation is continuing.
