December date for Galway turf cutting trials
The trials of four men charged in connection with the cutting of turf on a Special Area of Conservation in County Galway are to start in December.
The men have been charged in relation to three separate incidents at Clonmoylan Bog last year.
The incidents are alleged to have happened in May and August 2012.
Galway Circuit Court heard on Tuesday that each case is expected to take two days.
Michael D'Arcy from Ballycahill, Killimor; Pat McDonagh from Portumna; Tony Porter from Woodford; and Padraic Byrne from Main Street, Killimor, were all before the court.
A date of 17 December was fixed for the start of the trials.
