Two die and two others seriously injured in Donegal accident

Two men have been killed after the car they were in crashed in County Donegal.

The crash, at the Kinnegar Bridge on the Rathmullan to Portsalon Road, happened at about 03:00 BST on Saturday and left two other men injured.

The men who were killed were Shaun Graham, 19, and Matthew Crawford, 21, both from Letterkenny. It is believed they were in the back seat of the car.

The two injured men were airlifted to Altnagelvin Hospital in Londonderry in a Sligo-based Coastguard helicopter.

Emergency services flew them there because Letterkenny General Hospital's emergency unit is closed after extensive flooding last week.

Both men are believed to be in stable conditions.

It is understood the men were travelling from a festival in Rathmullan when their car struck a tree and a wall on the Rathmullan to Portsalon Road about 15 miles from Letterkenny.
