Cattle seized in Castleblaney in cross border police operation
More than 50 cattle have been seized by police investigating the "irregular movement of animals in the border areas".
The operation was conducted by Irish police in conjunction with the PSNI early on Wednesday morning.
Farmland was searched in the Castleblaney area of County Monaghan, leading to the seizures.
No arrests have been made and investigations are continuing.
Police were also assisted by the special investigation unit attached to the Department of Agriculture and the Northern Ireland Department of Agriculture.
