Bonfire rules may come into force in Guernsey

The States of Guernsey could introduce a ban on burning anything other than garden waste on bonfires.

More than 200 people took part in an Environmental Health consultation process on air pollution.

Director Val Cameron said they needed to know what islanders thought as they worked to bring the 2004 pollution law into effect.

She said she was pleased with the response and hoped to be able to move forward on new regulations soon.
