Guernsey's Ambassador Hotel has closed for business and will be turned into staff accommodation for a nearby hotel if plans are approved.

Owner Robert Steen has sold up, and if the plans are approved, the Ambassador will become accommodation for workers at the Fermain Valley Hotel.

Mr Steen said it had previously used some of its rooms for staff accommodation.

Plans to change these into guest rooms have also been submitted.
