Guernsey travellers told not to wrap gifts

  • Published

Passengers leaving and arriving in Guernsey by plane are being advised to leave any gifts unwrapped.

Deputy airport director Simon MacPhail said the warning was particularly for those carrying them in hand luggage.

He said: "It's a plea to everyone to put any presents in their hold baggage, but if taken as hand baggage then make sure they can be easily unwrapped."

He added the other security restrictions, including limits on liquids, should still be observed.
