Guernsey tour guides aim to increase numbers

Annette Henry said the number of guides had gone down in recent years
A course is being offered to help train the next generation of Guernsey tour guides.
The bronze award course run by current guides is an initiative by the newly formed Bailiwick of Guernsey Guild of Accredited Guides.
Chairperson Annette Henry said the island's group of guides needed "an injection of new blood".
She said: "We need people to come out of the woodwork and decide to be a guide... it's a wonderful thing to do."
The course, due to start in January, will be held at the College of Further Education and a second silver level course may be held later in the year.
