New Guernsey supermarket includes skills shop

A new food and retail skills shop is set to open in a Guernsey supermarket.
The joint initiative between the Social Security and Education Department will be managed on a day-to-day basis by the College of Further Education.
Education Minister Carol Steere said: "This is an opportunity to raise the profile of careers, particularly within retail and customer care sectors."
The shop is being set up in the island's second Waitrose store, which has just opened in Admiral Park.
The services on offer are being developed with input from the Job Centre, Careers Service and Chamber of Commerce.
Social Security Minister Mark Dorey said: "This will support all employers wishing to develop skills within their organisation.
"We will be keen for job seekers and people recovering from illness to make use of the skills shop to help them find out about work opportunities within the food and retail sectors, and to obtain advice, support and training relating to these sectors."
