Three people have been rescued by the Alderney lifeboat from a broken down recreational fishing boat.

The crew of Dawn Run, a locally-registered boat, called for help after suffering engine failure two miles east of Mannez Lighthouse.

The Roy Barker I was launched at 1442 BST and was alongside within 20 minutes.

The vessel was towed back to Braye Harbour within the hour with none of those on board reporting injuries.
