Guernsey vehicle fires treated as arson

A spate of vehicles fires in Guernsey over the weekend is being treated as arson, States police say.

Eight vehicles were set alight in a car park near the Vale Church and along nearby Folie Lane, between 2200 BST on Saturday and 0500 BST on Sunday.

Waste timber and hedges along Folie Lane were also found burning, police added.

Fire service staff are helping police with forensic examinations of the vehicles.
