Channel Islands TV signals affected by high pressure

High pressure interference has been blamed for problems with the Freeview television service in the Channel Islands.

Many viewers have reported difficulties receiving BBC TV channels.

A spokesman for the BBC's Reception Advice service said the high pressure was causing problems to the links between transmitters.

He apologised for the disruption and said: "We're working to understand and work around the problems if we can."

The same problem has also been reported in mid-Wales and south-west Scotland.
