Guernsey L'Aumone Pharmacy robbed at knife point

Armed robbers have raided a pharmacy in Guernsey at knifepoint, prompting a police appeal.

The robbery took place at L'Aumone Pharmacy, in the Castel, at around 17:00 BST on Monday.

Police said the offender threatened people with a knife before stealing a quantity of medication.

A spokesman said no one was injured, a number of arrests had been made and the force was keen to interview anyone who was in the area at the time.

He said some witnesses had already been traced.

The spokesman said it was a serious incident, but rare on the island.
