The Queen's official 86th birthday has been marked in Guernsey with a 21-gun salute in St Peter Port.

It is the second time in less than two weeks the guns have been fired - the previous occasion was on 5 June to mark the Diamond Jubilee.

Hundreds of spectators watched the guns being fired at midday from the saluting battery at the harbour fortress.

Entertainment was provided throughout the day and entry to the castle and museum was free.
