Guernsey Post deal with HMRC means gifts go faster

Guernsey Post has announced that gifts sent from the Bailiwick to the UK will be delivered more quickly in future.

The company, together with the Guernsey Border Agency, has negotiated a new agreement with HMRC to allow them to be delivered directly to the recipient.

Previously, all gifts under the value of £40 had to be sent to HMRC for clearance, delaying delivery.

As a result of the faster service, special delivery items will be guaranteed for next day delivery.
