Fire damages two Guernsey houses
Two houses were damaged by a fire before it was brought under control by Guernsey Fire and Rescue Service.
An outbuilding at a property in Collings Road in St Peter Port caught fire about 16:00 BST and then spread to the house next door.
The owner of the first property, who also owns the neighbouring house, was home at the time but escaped unharmed.
Firefighters have damped down the area so investigations into the cause of the blaze could be carried out.
Fire Safety Manager Steve Wilkes said 12 firefighters, two tenders and a water tanker had been involved in tackling the blaze.
Collings Road was closed while the emergency services dealt with the fire.
