Live dance act The Freestylers are to headline the 2014 Vale Earth Fair.

The event, which raised money for humanitarian organisations, is a music festival that has been running in Guernsey since the 1970s.

This year's event is being held on Sunday 24 August and other acts include The Mouse Outfit, Dead Sea Skulls and Attila the Stockbroker's Barnstormer.

Profits from the Vale Earth Fair are split between the Burma Campaign UK, Free Tibet, and Bridge2Haiti.

The Freestylers, who had global success with Push Up, have played all the biggest festivals including Glastonbury, Reading and Leeds in their 15-year career.

They have shared the bill with some of the world's biggest rock acts such as Red Hot Chilli Peppers and Queens of the Stone Age and were personally invited by Lenny Kravitz to be his support act on his American Woman Tour.
