Guernsey stabbing: Michael Hughes appears in court

A man has appeared in court charged over a knife attack.

Michael John Hughes, 41, of Brock Road, St Peter Port was charged with unlawfully wounding another man with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

He entered no plea at Guernsey's Magistrates' Court and was remanded in custody until 4 June when he is expected to appear at the Royal Court.

Mr Hughes was arrested following an incident in Doyle Road, in St Peter Port, on Sunday morning.
