Isle of Man strengthens links with UK Labour party
The Isle of Man's Economic Development Minister Allan Bell has attended the Labour Party conference in Manchester to strengthen ties with the UK.
A Manx government spokesman said the island wants a better relationship with the Labour Party as a new era begins.
Ed Miliband was named as Labour's new leader at the conference this week.
Mr Bell said: "I was able to deliver the message we are an open responsible country that plays a key role in supporting the British economy."
"It is vital that we strengthen our dialogue with the Labour Party so that the Isle of Man can continue to target its message at the right people in the right places," said Mr Bell, who briefly met the new leader.
