Pregnant women to get flu jabs on Isle of Man

  • Published

This year's anti flu drive by the Isle of Man's Health Department is to include pregnant women for the first time.

All expectant mothers will be offered the seasonal flu vaccination as a precaution against swine flu.

The department said the H1N1 (swine flu) virus is known to have caused complications in pregnant women.

The department added that several pregnant women in the UK have died due to swine flu.
