Isle of Man government urged to rethink job cuts
An MHK is urging the Manx government to reconsider how it makes savings.
Bill Henderson, who represents North Douglas, said he believed ministers automatically considered redundancies rather than looking for other savings.
An announcement on redundancies at the Home Affairs division is due to be made later this month. It is thought as many as 12 jobs could go.
Up to 11 jobs are also under threat at the Department of Community, Culture and Leisure.
The government has previously said redundancies were a last resort.
