Isle of Man signs tax agreement with India
The Isle of Man government has continued its pledge to tax transparency by signing a new agreement with India, according to the Treasury.
The agreement commits each nation to exchange information on tax crime, including the financing of terrorism.
In a move to meet standards set by the Organisation for Economic Cooperation, the Island has now signed 23 international agreements.
Countries linked with the Isle of Man include China, France and New Zealand.
Treasury minister Anne Craine said: "This signing is evidence of the Isle of Man's continuing commitment to tax transparency and effective exchange of information."
